Swedish designer, architect, and colour specialist Tekla Evelina Severin—known internationally as Teklan—has revitalised the iconic Elmonordic collection, updating its palette with vibrant hues and fresh perspectives. Drawing on her renowned skill in colour blocking and spatial storytelling, Teklan has thoughtfully revised 20 of the collection’s 30 colours, turning up the volume to create a more contemporary and optimistic feel.
Colour blocking, a hallmark of Teklan’s distinct style, is central to the refreshed Elmonordic collection. To illustrate the new palette’s potential, Teklan invites us into her imaginative world, showcasing leather in fresh and unexpected contexts—from delicate kitchen chairs to geometric sofas and plush armchairs, all sourced from the Spanish brand Sancal.
With this update, Teklan and Elmo challenge traditional Scandinavian aesthetics, embracing vibrant colour, personality, and creative expression in an exciting new direction.
