“Living with natural materials is a way of collecting stories of life,” shares Enrico Zanetti, Brand Manager at Kristalia, the renowned Italian furniture company, and one of Elmo’s esteemed collaborators.

Kristalia’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship shines through their partnership with Elmo. In their quest for perfection, Kristalia is meticulous about every material used in their furniture production, making Elmo an ideal fit when it comes to leather. This commitment to excellence extends to clean design, elegance, and a deep respect for tradition, values shared by both brands.

Elmosoft, in particular, stands as the preferred leather for Kristalia’s customers. Its flawless combination of a natural product with a perfect finish is consistent in quality, appearance, and texture. This level of consistency is of great value, considering the limited quantity of exclusive furniture sold by the brand.

Enrico Zanetti, deeply involved in various aspects of design and product development at Kristalia, understands the significance of leather as a noble material. He shares, “Personally, I love leather because, like all noble materials, it’s pure and it grows with you. You might scratch it or spill something on it, but rather than being ruined, it adds a patina that acts as small reminders of life events.”

Enrico Zanetti’s influence extends across the design spectrum, from store interiors to material research and marketing. Alongside commissioned designers and the in-house team, he plays a pivotal role in bringing Kristalia’s creations to life. When asked about the role of Elmo’s leather in the design process and the finished product, he emphasizes the importance of details.

“We recently reevaluated a small yet significant detail on a leather-furnished sofa, a prominent seam to be precise. We recognize that small details like this can convey our values and work ethic.”

After some discussions and prototyping, Zanetti and his team made the decision to introduce a subtle curve to the seam, departing from the conventional straight design. It may seem like a minor alteration, but it had a profound impact. When the armchair, part of the Tenso series by Luca Nichetto, was presented at the Milan Design Festival, the audience raved. Looking at it, you don’t see a backside or a hidden angle, but a piece of furniture with attention to every detail.

“At Kristalia, we’re deeply impressed by Elmos approach to the furniture industry, from their remarkable color palettes to their unyielding emphasis on quality and elegance.”

At Kristalia, we’re deeply impressed by their approach to the furniture industry, from their remarkable color palettes to their unyielding emphasis on quality and elegance. Their dedication to environmental responsibility, exemplified by their pristine factory and processes, is undeniably the primary reason we chose Elmo,” Zanetti concludes.

In the realm of design and craftsmanship, the collaboration between Kristalia and Elmo weaves a story of timeless elegance and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
