As the House of Colour within leather, we entrusted Tekla Evelina Severin with the task of expanding Elmonordic’s expressive range. Known for her sculptural use of light and masterful colour sensibility, she reimagined the palette across the full spectrum — adding nuance, optimism and new possibilities for designers.

To explore how these colours behave in space, Teklan selected a series of Sancal’s most form-driven pieces as her canvas. Their bold silhouettes offered the ideal counterpart to her vision. In four distinct scenes, she staged worlds where light, form and leather interact in subtle yet striking ways. Each composition highlights different qualities of the material: soft and embracing, structured and precise, confident and full of contrast.
Sancal’s sculptural furniture played a crucial role in bringing these atmospheres to life. Their fearless approach to form and colour made them a natural collaborator. Together — Elmo, Sancal and Teklan — we demonstrated how craft, materiality and expressive design can reshape the way we imagine interiors.
The installation, unveiled in Madrid in November, presented Elmonordic in its most vivid expression to date. It was a celebration of leather as a design tool, of colour as strategy, and of collaboration as a catalyst for new creative worlds.
